3~* Ordinary day

What do I hate about New Years Eve? HUGS.

Last year I and my little family (mom and bro.) went to vacation center “Las cruces”. It was December 30th and we take the first bus to get there, 2 or 3 hours of traveling and 5 minutes walking. The most adorable cabins and a big pool to have some fun, and the best part is the food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are count when you pay the rent per person… but you have to be on time.

The first day we just care about eat, we were hungry, a little of pool in the afternoon and eat again, eating like royalty!! with waiters and everything. Second day after breakfast we walk to the beach, the bad thing is how far the vacation center is to the beach, maybe it’s just me, but I’m ok with the pool… I hate how my hear get so gross on the sea. Ok, we walk, know the place and have a great time in family. Let’s go to eat again! Another pool time and. WAIT, that was December 31th and we didn’t forget it, it’s because we are not one of those families that make parties for everything, but it was almost a joke when we were in bed and hear the fireworks from there. The next day was like the previous one and January the second we came home.

The reason why I liked this vacation it’s because we make a big day into an ordinary day. And, even if we don’t hug each other the first day of the year, we knew we already have a great time in family.

Thanks.

2~* Vacant lot

Geoff Lawton introduces us the food forests and how you establish it.
It all start with little roots that will be fast growing in a year or so, this will be the “food” for a permanent older forest and increase its rise. As long as we help the pioneers into the forest, all these species will coexist within that biodiversity. Everything that happen in there, indicate future steps and transformations into the wood. In 5 years we have a whole classical food forest and the maintenance goes by itself. And you cannot remove the forest at least you physical removed it, like with big machines… but no one want to do that.
This is a great way to make our forests come to life and grow as they were always there. Personally, I love green areas, where you can take a little of peace and forget the world… the bad thing is that if people don’t see plants in some area or a “vacant lot” (which I mean a uncultivated plot) they instantly think about build something “productive” for the society.

Not everything has to be about construction, buildings or structure. Think about your heart and how beautiful it would be have a forest in the middle of something, in the middle of the polluted Santiago city for example.

1~* We have to believe what we know

Yann Arthur Bertrand talks about our impact emitting CO2 and shows some examples, like the people in Alberta. They work 24/7 extracting oil from the ground and we consume three times what we get. Oil’s not infinite.
Also show how the corals in New Caledonia will be wiped about 2050 in cause of the global warming, been this creatures very important for the biodiversity of the sea.
Then, we have the North Pole. The density has decrease as much to create a new way open between atlantic and pacific.
Kilimanjaro without ice and the mountain glacier will be gone, just with 20% of the original ice.
I love to eat fish on weekend, when I can eat with my mom and my brother, in family. This men is telling us that there is an over exploitation of these animals and all of them will be extinguish in 2050.
In Africa there’s no enough food and they eat corn mostly. America uses this nourishment to feed their animals or to do oil.
All of this communicates by itself how selfish our society can be with dwellers in other countries, cities, or even homes. Like we just want the best for our family and friends… and the histories and misfortune from people we don’t know it’s not our business. How, in just 50 years, we altered the whole world and the only one who is crying for it, are ourselves.

This video shows us a very sensitive part of the world, what doesn’t divide you is the union with the person beside you, and if you’re standing on the same ground, you know what does mean.
Be charitable.
