2~* Vacant lot

Geoff Lawton introduces us the food forests and how you establish it.
It all start with little roots that will be fast growing in a year or so, this will be the “food” for a permanent older forest and increase its rise. As long as we help the pioneers into the forest, all these species will coexist within that biodiversity. Everything that happen in there, indicate future steps and transformations into the wood. In 5 years we have a whole classical food forest and the maintenance goes by itself. And you cannot remove the forest at least you physical removed it, like with big machines… but no one want to do that.
This is a great way to make our forests come to life and grow as they were always there. Personally, I love green areas, where you can take a little of peace and forget the world… the bad thing is that if people don’t see plants in some area or a “vacant lot” (which I mean a uncultivated plot) they instantly think about build something “productive” for the society.

Not everything has to be about construction, buildings or structure. Think about your heart and how beautiful it would be have a forest in the middle of something, in the middle of the polluted Santiago city for example.
